The homeowner chose beautiful and distinct features to bring each room to life.
For the kitchen remodel, the homeowners wanted to create a large, open space conducive to both family life and entertaining. The original space was comprised of three separate rooms: a wet-bar room, a kitchen, and a formal dining room. By removing all of the walls in between and adding structural support, Welby Construction Management created one flowing kitchen of approximately 800 square feet. Re-finishing the home’s original hardwood floors allowed the rooms to tie together seamlessly. As homeowners with growing children, it was important to create a space that the family could come together to enjoy meals and quality time. The central island creates a focal point with a large gas range and enough space for prep work, cooking and seating for four. A stepped lower additional counter provides a built-in kitchen table for everyday meals. The dining room is strategically placed within the same area, but remains a separate more formal space for sit down meals and entertaining. The kitchen is finished with aesthetically beautiful features such as high-end oversized appliances, custom stainless steel light fixtures, a total of nearly 40 efficient recessed lights and under cabinet lighting, and a balancing combination of modern espresso and cream cabinetry. Every inch of this stylistic kitchen provides convenient storage and functionality such that any size family would appreciate.
